I've decided I'm more fun during the summer/fall than in the winter--I did some fun stuff this summer, including but not limited to: camping trips, many games of volleyball and softball, a visit to Yellowstone, a weekend in Lake Powell...but rather than spend all my new blogging time on past events of the summer, I'll just post this one final thing about previous adventures...back in October (in honor of my recently celebrated 25th birthday) I jumped off a mountain.
Seriously. I did. But it's probably not exactly in the way you're imagining. My friend Whitney and I, whose birthdays are only a couple of days apart, decided that turning 25 was a milestone to be celebrated (especially because any milestone birthdays after that are the ones where people tease you about getting old). So we went hang-gliding.
It was the coolest feeling ever! I was so nervous, but the minute we got into the air it was like, "oh, no big deal. Just relax and enjoy the scenery." And it really was actually pretty relaxing. Granted, it was a tandem flight so I wasn't the one worrying about keeping us in the air, but it was still really neat to just be flying around over the mountains and looking out at Utah Lake. I'd do it again in a heartbeat! It was definitely the perfect way to celebrate 25 years of being on earth. :)
That's Me Up There!
Me again! Flying high!
Whitney and me with the guys who took us flying.
